ROMA ARTE IN NUVOLA

Group Show

For this first edition of the Contemporary Art Fair “Roma Arte in Nuvola”, VARSI Art&Lab presents a selection of artists from the national and international contemporary art scene.

VARSI was founded in 2013 as an art gallery in the historic center of Rome. Its scope was to explore the artistic movements of Urban and Contemporary Art, with the aim of producing collective and solo exhibitions and of promoting public art in Italy and abroad.

Since then, more than 50 exhibitions have been held with some of the most important international artists.

In 2019, the activity expanded with the creation of VARSI Art&Lab, a new entity with a lab specialized in the production of limited edition screen prints and Fine Art Prints, as well as hand-bound art books.

The selection of the works that will be presented at the fair has been chosen to stimulate the curiosity of the public, through works created with different artistic practices and themes that range from the gestural exercise of 2501’s production to the pure abstractionism of Nelio and to the chromatic analysis of Alberonero.

The various forms of figurative language introduce new perspectives, as in the fragmentary and surreal imagery of the Mexican artist Smithe, or the controversial poetics of Gonzalo Borondo, or again in the power of the trio Canemorto’s raw and brutal paintings.

VARSI Art&Lab also presents a new series of limited-edition works by Sten Lex and Sbagliato in collaboration with 56Fili, together with an unpublished production by the Argentinian artist Nicolás Romero (EVER), as well as the third edition of the series “Libri Anomali” made by She.Lab in collaboration with Servadio.

From the international contemporary scene, VARSI engages its curatorial research towards the discovery and promotion of exceptionally talented artists, enhancing and channeling each of their artistic abilities to create new expressive languages.
