“Ubiquitas” is an installation composed by 15 Visarm
shatterproof glass panels, each single panels is made with the “scratch on glass” technique – with which the artist intervenes in the public space since 2011 – which consist in creating a layer of acrylic paint that is then “scratched away” with different tools (chisels of different sizes or pointed objects of daily use) thus bringing out the work.
The desire of the artist is to animate the painting and to float the delicate figure of a woman declined on the panels. The slabs can be arranged in the space that receives them with site specific interventions that create movements and dialogues that are always different.
The transparency of the glass allows you to play with light, natural or artificial, and with overlays to create dynamism and movement. The images present the installation “Ubiquitas” in three different places: in the internal and external spaces of Ex Dogana (RM) and in Chiostro of Palazzo Gambalunga (RN).
The work was exhibited at the group exhibition “Paradiso Inclinato” curated by Luca Tomio in 2016 and in the group exhibition “Il disegno e il Polvere” curated by Eleonora Frattarola at the Rimini Design Biennial.
