The collaboration between Nicolò Visioli (Milan) and Daniele Tozzi (Rome), stems from the mutual esteem and friendship that the two artists have had for some years being both members of the international collective Calligraphy Masters
The aim of this collaboration was to create a work that expressed a strong message about one of the greatest problems of our time: plastic, which, due to our use and abuse, pours into our seas.
The Medulla laboratory in Modena produces hand-made screen prints using only natural water-based colors and printing techniques with no environmental impact. The bases of the pigments are natural (in the specific of this print the ocher color is created with Turmeric, the violet with Italian ford and the gray with graphite, thickened with potato starch). Moreover, the collaboration with the historic paper company Fedrigoni that supported their project by donating this particular paper created with less environmental impact than the Free Life kendo series.
Through this print the two artists wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to create art respecting nature.
