Paola Pompili (SHE.LAB) is an Art Director and Graphic Designer working for major communication agencies and publishing companies; she has been collaborating with Varsi since its opening and is in charge of the graphic and editorial image of the gallery. Her love and knowledge of paper is at the basis of all her creations; recently she has combined her various skills to set up an artisan bookbinding activity related to her editorial projects. SHE.LAB creates her works by combining her passion for graphic art and publishing in editorial projects which involve different printing techniques, hand-made bindings and a careful selection of paper. Every element that shapes the final product is specifically designed to express the work of the artist at its best.

VARSI stationery is a series of stationery products created together with SHE.LAB studio (graphic studio and artisan bookbinding laboratory). It offers VARSI and other brand products created in collaboration with various internationally renowned artists.

The collection includes annual planners, notebooks, sketchbooks, photo albums, pens, pencils, etc.

Annual Journal 2023 is part of the “Leftover” series which is born from the scraps produced in our screen printing laboratory.

In fact, each screen printing requires a series of tests that are used to achieve the best results.

We decided to reuse these scraps to create unique and practical notebooks that can help us recycle paper in a sustainable and useful way.

Each piece is entirely bound by hand by SHE.LAB in our bookbinding laboratory.
