Matteo Giuntini(Livorno 1977). Since 2005, he has dedicated himself to researching his language through different mediums, painting, drawing, and installation. “I am nature,” says the artist, and over the years his work has focused on the visceral relationship between the human being, nature, and the animal world, an interweaving that often results in bizarre anthropomorphic creatures bordering on the grotesque. His painting deteriorates and envelops a wide variety of media. Using any kind of medium he gives life to various projects not least the series “Appunti Inutili”, presented in 2022 in Turin as part of Graphic Days, punk-inspired artist’s books, and unique hand-bound pieces. In 2019 he took part in the residency program at the Macro Museum in Rome and in January 2023 in Indonesia with the project Joglo Bianco. Giuntini counts numerous group and solo exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. He has to his credit, a wide number of collaborations in the world of communication, design, and fashion houses such as the Valentino brand with which in 2017 he realized a Capsule Collection presented in London at Chelsea in Bloom.
