Gonzalo Borondo was born in Valladolid in 1989 and soon moved to Segovia, where he spent his childhood. In 2003 he settled in Madrid and began to experiment different artistic techniques in public spaces. The street became Borondo’s privileged place of expression, where he communicated and created a strong relationship between space and those who live it.
In 2005 he began to attend the workshop of the painter Jose Garcia Herranz, where he started exploring the possibilities of painting techniques and studied the old masters. In 2010 he was invited for the first time at a public art festival in Istanbul and started to work on large wall surfaces. Since then he has completed numerous public art projects around the world: urban installations and walls born from a dialogue between the environment and the physical spaces where he works. Since 2012 he has presented exhibition projects in galleries and museums all over Europe, including “Animal”, his personal exhibition in London in 2015, which consolidated the artist’s inclination and will to create a dialogue between different media and techniques.
Canemorto is a trio of Italian artists that like to keep their identity hidden. Active since 2007, during the past ten years they have created works in Europe that stand out for their raw and brutal style.
The personal imagery of Canemorto mixes graffiti to the worship of an evil deity, which influences the work of the group and their choices. In 2015 Canemorto produced and published the feature film “Te Amo-Lisboa | An ignominious street art movie”, which went around the world, stimulating reflections and opening debates. The same year they exhibited in the itinerant show “Eterotopia”, presented in Rome at the Ex Dogana and Palazzo Fazzari in Catanzaro.
In 2016, the trio produced “Toys”, a solo exhibition at the historic Viafarini space in Milan. In 2017 Altrove Gallery presented a new set of pictures by Canemorto, together with works by Carlo Zinelli, a historical representative of Art Brut, in the exhibition “Carlo giallo su sfondo di tre cani”.
Michele Servadio was born in Italy in 1986. He grew up in a small village in the Veneto countryside. Drawn to painting and drawing from an early age, Servadio attended the Art School in Padua and the University of Visual Arts in Venice. In 2007 he approached the world of tattoos, fascinated by its tradition and cultural phenomenon. He moved to London in 2010.
In his atelier in Hackney Wick, Servadio creates new projects which interconnect the different practices of tattooing, painting, printmaking, photography, and performance art. Merging these diciplines, feeding them back into one another, he creates a unique universe where he is able to explore and describe the human condition and his environment.
The aesthetics of his work is dark and melancholic; it embodies Folklore, expressionism, and the bleakness of a post-industrial scenario.
In 2014 he started to experiment with sound and tattooing. This gave birth to 'Body of Reverbs', a contemporary Ritual combining sound, pain, accupuncture and permanent marks on the body. Body of Reverbs has been presented in the form of live performances and instilations across the UK, Europe, Asia and America.
His artworks have been exhibited in England, Italy, and Germany.
